Passing Life

It’s a cumulus cloud passing

A sirrus cloud asking

To be looked at

To be discovered

It’s a cookie jar waiting to be uncovered

It happens when you’re at the edge of a cliff and you’re outnumbered

It happens when you’re exhausted and you’re in flip flops

When it’s pouring down and you didn’t expect to stop

It’s a gathering with your best childhood friend

It’s money you didn’t have to spend

It’s a marshmallow, sweet

Fluffy like a cloud, not healthy to eat

Living will kill you, is what my brother says

Some people use it as a pledge

It’s a gift

So long as you live

It’s also a raft

And what exists right now is all you have

Your problems, your family, your cup of coffee, the morning run

Try at least a little to have some fun

This is life
