I’m not sure why you have to say it
Any preceding words of integrity are negated
You have a pretty face but an ugly mouth
Maybe you are a comedian, but why did you have to let it out
And you, you’re an artist
I don’t know, maybe you’re trying your hardest
What about all the little girls singing your songs?
And you, on the basketball court, in the end it is just a sport
I used to hate it when people would tell me that
But in the grand scheme of life, it is a fact
Even if you were dying, would you want it to be mingled in with your last utterance?
It’s just a surly word enunciated in abundance
It’s unpleasant, like a grinch
And not like a honeycomb
It gives off an awful stench
I like you a lot
But I’m staying out of it
We have an imperative to avoid coarse jesting
To meditate on what’s pure and lovely
I can’t be around a word that’s unbecoming
Even if you’re mad or sad or overwhelmed by whatever
Think about the letters and the aura you’re putting together
I’m not better than you
You’re not stuck
You know what word rhymes –don’t say it
It’s despicable
Replace it
With whatever is good, whatever’s pure, whatever’s praiseworthy
Let’s speak that, let’s become that
Yeah, you heard me
People are listening
