It’s Time for Your Appointment

Are you feeling disjointed?

Overweight? Stressed? Can’t do your job? Depressed?

Is your old doctor a snob?

Well, it’s time for your appointment

We won’t let you forget

We’ll send you a reminder via email, this poem, and text

Your money—uh, we mean, your health—is important to us

Come on in and we’ll listen to you fuss

We’ll listen just enough

To put you on some drugs

That won’t really fix anything, they’ll just make you feel like you’re doing something

Never mind that your insides are crumbling

On to the next room

See you in a month or two

Join the cycle

Don’t worry about side effects or the insurance’s denial

It’s time for your appointment

We care about your wallet

As long as you stay disjointed

Strangely enough, health care is what we’ll call it
