I like seeing blue on the map
On the weather man’s screen it seems to fill a gap
The mention of snow sends my part of the world into a throw
Grocery stores swell
People in traffic on a Friday afternoon yell
The great blizzard is coming! This could be the one!
All I know is it’s Friday and I’m tired, a bit undone
Blue is my second favorite color
White is nice too
I can’t wait for my hot bath tonight, to melt away like butter
Let it snow while I sleep
I hope when I wake, it’s several feet deep
Because tomorrow I don’t want to go anywhere
I just want to sit and drink my coffee and stare
Me and my dog will trudge out when we’re ready
A Saturday snow day, no work – my heart will soon be steady
Let it snow
Let the sky turn blue – or do whatever it wants to do
Let the flakes stick
I’ll relish it
Being captive to my coffee, my home, my tub, my bed
Let it snow, like I said
