Bicycle

What if everyone biked to work?

Maybe knees would no longer hurt

The streets would be quiet

People could see the flowers dressed in violet

Rabbits in front lawns of green

They’d look at nature and not just screens

They could feel the air: humid, cool, warm, salty

Be in the weather, not just hear about it

Experience a world they once doubted

Move

Like we’re made to do

Instead of just sitting sitting sitting in front of the screens

At work, in the cars, in our hands, in our hearts

Bypass the Ozempic

Stop and have a picnic

Take a plunge

Bike to your job

You’ll no longer be numb

Invite your colleagues and friends

Along the way you’ll meet some

Buck the system

Enjoy what’s been given

Leave the keys and your screens

Get on the bicycle

Go!

You’ll see what I mean
