The Healer

God, I pray You heal

You spoke the world into place

You formed every human print and face

I know You see the mayhem

Among Your creatures – women and men

Not all is right

My prayer tonight:

For the flu to cease

The allergies to ease

Fatigue and malaise to go from this place

Back pain – the aches and sores

Tingling in the arms and hands, shoulders too  – no more

Healthy gums, healthy teeth

No panic – no, just a heart at perfect peace

No gut malfunction or urinary anomalies

Flawless working order

No high blood pressure or heart disease

No dementia, depression, cancer

Precision, joy, healthy cells are the right answer

Will You be the antidote

The Great epidemiologist, allergist, orthopedist, dentist, surgeon, oncologist

For it all, You hold the fix

In all the death and disease I have hope

I’m looking forward to the end

I’m not depressed or suicidal

But this poison is insidious

Even my heart and motives are amiss

I’ll press on as I await revival

I yearn to see it all right

For the end of this plight

When Death and disease are given the final blow

When true life is all we know

All creation healed

Redemption sealed

For all, not just some

This I pray

Let Your kingdom come
