Katie

It looks like you’re doing well

Leading millions, if not more

It’s hard to tell

You’re still so pretty

You remind me of an old friend

Same age, same physique, slick hair

I’ve watched you both change with the times

Unique like your rhymes

You’re both admired and you sparkle

You shine

You attract so many

Like a jewel

Sometimes the wrong ones come and you end up feeling like a fool

You can keep telling me about it and I’ll listen

Because I guess I’m a follower too

You’ve changed so much to try to fit in

But behind the lyrics there’s a sad truth

Beneath the eyeliner and the lights

I hope there’s still a bit of the real you

Guard your heart

And what comes out of your mouth

Don’t say it if you don’t want to hear it

Because it will play longer than you anticipate

I know you have stumbled some

Like me

Right out of the gate

None of us is guilt-free

Be mindful of how you use your talents

You’re powerful

So attractive

But remember modesty

The balance

Kindness and humility

Traits worth possessing

Lead with these

We’ll all have to give account

I watch you advance as you sparkle and sing

To what will it amount

Who are you following
